When Leela is insulted by a group of space-rednecks (like regular rednecks, but in space), she enters the Planet Express ship in a demolition derby. Leela emerges victorious, but when she brings the damaged ship home, and the Professor sees the fuel gauge, he's enraged by the hit he's going to take at the Dark Matter pump. Now the crew have to find a way to break Mom's stranglehold on starship fuel, even if they have to wade through a Lord of the Rings-inspired fantasy-land to do it!

drawcinema summary:
My next favorite out of the Futurama movies. As a big DND fan, I loved the references.

Incredibly messy and honestly really disfigured. It just feels like these storylines converge very half-hazardly. Leela's whole anger subplot really goes nowhere and justifies itself when faced with centaurs who have absolutely no spines and that was kinda dumb. I enjoy Bender and honestly the Professor the most here they have their fun interactions with Bender having the psych bots and Hubert having Mom and Iger which obviously is my best takeaway from this whole movie. Still I know that they never follow that story beat up so it does still irk me but I digress. This movie is easily the weakest yet and not all that funny.

#My 3000th watch “Futurama: Bender’s Game”
It’s so good and so much fun to watch especially because it’s about Dungeons and Dragons. I’m in my D&D obsession phase and got to watch this. Jokes are funny without being cringe and not trying so hard to make something funny.
