ok i have a lot to say about this local film.

honestly this movie had so much potential and considering it was syafiq yusof’s directorial debut at the ripe age of 18 cam padu la jugak kan. i mean you can see the brilliance in his ideas and the way this story plays with identity and mental health pastu memang giving fight club vibes tapi versi local ah (that is actually quite solid) aku suka!!!! standard ah cite dulu cringe menggatal camni an neelofa pun berlakon sepesen je tapi takpe.

and i feel like this is the kind of film that came out in the wrong era… i think it would be much appreciated by a more open minded (??) audience sebab storytelling dia very bold for a malaysian film back in 2012, it really tried to push boundaries. yela kita dulu apa je hype movie ombak rindu la kl zombi la duyung la and ok je tapi i just feel like this specific film is not really the kind of film yang orang dulu would fully get. not in an offensive way though its just that the themes were ahead of their time. 

from this film you can tell that syafiq was already showing signs of being a visionary director. cerita ni takdelah perfect mana but it’s decent enough for a local 2012 release and i believe it deserves more credit than it got. sebab for me sumpah it had the potential!!!!

kalau siapa tau any other local movies yang underrated but bijak camni PLEASE share (kalau takde siapa reply buat bodoh jela aku suka jugak borak dengan dinding)
