My huge critique with this movie is that I just don’t really care about anything. The stakes are there but because I couldn’t connect with the characters in this movie that’s already not that entertaining it was kinda hard to get through. It really drags from beginning to end and while I do appreciate the theme of passion and risk, this movie is so hollow I wished I was anywhere else when watching it.
At best, it’s an inoffensive, sweet drama that occasionally has its better scenes. Hard to dislike, especially knowing it could’ve been a lot more dreadful if the Christian messaging were a bigger part of the plot, but for most it’ll either serve as background noise or a family movie night everyone forgets about.
