Devious Amelia’s film; The Horrors of Going to the Park is such a powerful film with an ever more powerful meaning behind it. This beautiful indie film is a work of art unlike any other. All the actors preformances in this film are currently the best of their career. The writing is brilliant, The filming is everything and more, the acting is on point, and it’s complex.
It’s deeper meaning cut through my soul like a knife; everyone is fighting their own battles in a way. Mother Patrica lost her son and has to deal with the guilt of losing him even after finding him. It’s eating her alive and you can see that so well in this work-of-art film. The unamed warriors themselves are physically fighting; each other. But also to live when they’re both in the hospital.
The acting is to die for. You can see the fire in the both unnamed warriors eyes as they’re fighting; yearning to win. The guilt and sadness in Mother Patricas sobs and cries. Everything felt so real and in place.
Henceforth, this is be my favourite film ever made. It may be short and sweet but it is so worth the watch.
