Despite its many flaws, I always have a good time every time I rewatch this film. Rani’s character, Meenakshi is so dramatic and her constant daydreaming is lowkey relatable. And I love how every other character is also as crazy and over the top like her. Myna is just too much.
I don’t think people appreciated the kookiness and the ridiculousness of this film when it came out. But it’s worth watching if you love Rani or Bollywood. Like I said, the film has some flaws like the runtime is too long and the relationship between the two leads is not explored at all which makes the ending so quick and random. But it’s still a very fun movie. I love rewatching it for all the shenanigans Meenakshi gets herself into.
Also just absolutely a banger of a soundtrack. Dreamum Wakeupum is too iconic. The songs and the picturisations are full of fun innuendos. Very cheeky movie.
