While I have not seen Panek's first film, walk, these two films seem to work so damn well together. The in former, walk, Panek seems to focus on his neighborhood, a mesh of sky and land, intangible and tangible
Here in storm, Panek leans nearly all the way into the intangible. The film goes in and out of shots completely consumed by the storm and shots showing the effect the storm has in these places that feel all too familiar
Throughout the film, you see birds, flying away, preparing for the storm to hit, the trees hold their ground, and the geese come in for the scraps, nature at work, captured on grainy digital, what else can you ask for
