This would’ve been a stone-cold 5 stars cos I love my campy B-movie and this had the exact tone I was looking for. HOWEVER, the multiple (about 7 times) uninterrogated uses of the N-word (with a hard R too, mind you) towards that kind black girl was just unnecessary, uncomfortable and took away a lot of the film’s fun factor. And the fact that the girl just disappeared from the film and didn’t get any sort of comeuppance is just ugly to say the least. At first it felt like the film was building toward some sort of commentary on it, but I just gave up when the main character used it. The fact that this was filmed in 1989/released I 1993 makes it even worse cos baby we were WELL past the Black Power Movement. All I can say is do better.
