The Scapegoat is a surprisingly solid thriller (I suppose) about two physically identical men who swap lives that couldn't be more different. Matthew Rhys does a fine job of playing two tormented men though those around him seem rather flat. The film plays with some interesting ideas and I'm certainly intrigued to read its source material. However, when the film is only marginally better than a parody done by The Simpsons, you're really not shooting very high.
