I haven’t seen a ton of Korean films, but this was the most American Korean movie I’ve seen. I think I’ve been spoiled by Bong Joon Ho and Park Chan-wook. This one’s not bad, just predictable and anticlimactic.

i can’t tell u the amount of times i jumped out of my seat and screamed at the tv. the beginning was also so emotional it made me cry a lot. this was such a great movie i can’t believe it has low reviews. I think western viewers always expect a happy wrapped up ending like the ones they usually get in their movies. the ending makes a lot of sense if you consider that this is a movie based on real people.

if it werent for the fact that i watched this with my friends i never wouldve stayed until the end. i kinda get what the movie is trying to show but there were so MANY unnecessary scenes, the story felt too dragging. i was amazed by the use of animation to show the morbid shit that happened tho this was so frustrating like not d good kind
