I’m thankful for sunlight this Sunday because if I would’ve watched it at night I’d be too scared to go to sleep right away.
What the fuck.
I have so many ideas and theories on what the creatures could be. I’m hoping for mimics and not aliens.
I love how the creatures in the movies haven’t been named. The various characters have all said something along the lines of “I don’t know what they are.” I’m hoping for mimics because they kind of look like people, but not really. They’ve been said that they don’t move like people either. I think they can mimic sounds (the tinking), voices, and maybe trees?
Speaking of trees, fuck them. I don’t trust a single one.
That bag man. What the fuck? Get him out of here, he’s too spooky.
The scene with the toy baby doll in the woods. Spooky I hate (love) it.
There were multiple moments I said “I hate it” “what the fuck” and “nope” as well as other various statements to express my overall discomfort.
There were multiple moments I found myself hitting the rewind button. There was something behind a tree I wanted to make sure my roommate saw, and I predict the book and notepad in the end footage will come into play later.
I appreciate this movie for being scary throughout. The other movies got to a shit yourself level until the end. The fourth installment did a wonderful job of balancing scares and plot.
Thank you Dutch Marich for leaving little crumbs that get picked up in subsequent sequels. I can’t wait for Mantis.
