Not really sure about the first act having its characters act as vessels for philosophical ideas instead of human beings…
But there was a shift midway and ooh I was vibing with the film. I really liked everything it said. Dustin Celestino is so self-aware and this is good, especially if we want to make things better.
This would make for a great Tanghalang Pilipino play.
Also, that ending was very endearing.
“Hindi pwede sumuko, pero pwede magpahinga.”
These words really resonated with me. I’ve had a phase of activism and youth-led political participation, but everything inside resulted in disillusionment.
Good to know I am validated in my decision to rest, and my decision to not give up.
Thank you for this film, Dustin Celestino.
