honestly as someone who doesn’t find anime their cup of tea… i was pleasantly surprised. lovely little movie <3

WHY IS EVERYTHING SO TRAGIC VIOLENT AND DARK?? 
i rate it because of how stunning the animation and cinematography is, and because i'll always go to the cinema for a piece of artwork that's in a language that's home for me. but i must say at times the plot feels artificially thin and weak for me, the repetitive disjunctions did not layer the narrative with depth but confusion. and besides gudo is really bloody annoying at times.
