Sack RTD immediately. What an absolutely waste of Ncuti, and an insulting send off. Not saying his entire run was bad, but the bad outweighs the good.
Murray Gold is gold as always, 15’s theme is great. 15 himself had some great moments despite the script. Mostly due to a Ncuti's natural charisma and impressive acting chops. I do think people will look more fondly back at Ncuti’s run in the future. Even though his potential wasn’t fulfilled, he truly was special. At times reminiscent of the great Matt Smith even. He also clearly has great emotional range, even if cried a bit to much, rendering every supposed emotional moment less impactful.
Regenerating into Billie Piper overshadowed any chance 15 had for a special send off. Only way to even remotely salvage this, is if Billies return is just a one off special thing, or better; if shes not the Doctor at all. This all mighhhtttt work, if Piper is playing Rose. Idk why The Doctor regenerated into her, but it could lead to an interesting plot line. However, the more likely outcome is for RTD to mess it up. 16, now wearing his long gone (he hasn’t seen Rose for billions of years btw) lost companions face, will act as said companion, further corrupting the Doctors character. RTD would then delve deeper into his fanfic, possibly resulting in another bi-generation, allowing 2 of the now 3 Doctors to run off into some weird narcissistic incest spin-off. Would probably still nostalgia-bait some of you to like it just because David’s back. Just great isn’t it? This now leaves a third Doctor (the 17th) to hopefully have a chance at a better script. That is if RTD has been sacked of course.
