After watching Return to Silent Hill, I felt like I needed to see a proper adaptation of Silent Hill 2’s story. I stumbled upon this fan film to see if this would satisfy me, but sadly I think the game’s story is too complex for a 13minute short film (with some Alan Wake sprinkled in the end??).
The cinematography, casting and costuming (to an extent) is pretty much there. However, things like Pyramid Head smashing his blade down, and the odd/missing sound effects really took me out.
I’ll give the filmmakers props for even attempting this. And I did like them acknowledging the alternate ending, and Eddie eating pizza lol
