Trying to predict James Mason’s cadence in The Deadly Affair is like trying to predict whether Ronnie O’Sullivan will play in the scheduled tournament. It’s unbelievable. In this film you have some of his greatest acting alongside some of his worst. You cannot take your eyes away.
This is fine. I expected way more from the calibre of director, stars and source material. Mason isn’t half a hoot though.
