Like most bedroom comedies of the 60s, time has treated Honeymoon Hotel badly. It only becomes embarrassingly entertaining once you accept it’s just one of those movies they made back then. Robert Morse (good old Bertram Cooper on Mad Men) and a cheerful social director played by Nancy Kwan made it lighter for me, but I couldn’t enjoy the stereotypically clumsy bimbo girl played by Jill St. John as much. She’s a joy to watch but they did her so dirty in this one.
