On a Tuesday morning in August 2023, a group of kids set off for school, climbing into a makeshift cable car for the journey across a mountain pass in northwest Pakistan. What happened next would make headlines around the world. Suddenly, 900 feet above the ground, two cables snapped, putting the teenagers in mortal danger.

It’s for sure a wild story that depicts heroism effectively, but it gets repetitive at points, never digging too much deeper beyond the event itself

its a pretty decent re-telling of a harrowing story and the extreme acts of bravery at the center of it but shows its own cowardice by never bothering to venture out to do anything beyond than that. could have easily explored the themes of classism or the media’s influence over extreme situations of spectacle or how your local community is the only one coming to save you but it seems instead they played it safe and went for the G rating

Beautifully shot talking heads. An engaging doc, though the story format was very predictable. I look forward to the narrative version (if it’s ever in the works).
