Flower Girl feels like a fever dream. Ang ganda ng concept and it’s actually interesting but the execution just falls short.
The biggest issue for me was Ena’s character. There’s a clear setup of her being transphobic pero it’s never properly addressed. Parang nawala lang siya sa story and there’s no real accountability or reflection.
I get that the ending is about self-love—her accepting herself as a woman regardless of her body and that could’ve been powerful. But because her earlier prejudice was never addressed, it made the message feel incomplete.
Sayang talaga kasi the idea was there—it could’ve been meaningful. Pero hindi na-execute nang maayos so instead of hitting hard, it just feels incomplete and bitin.
