This is the paralysis demon that I would see waking up in the middle of the night to the George Lopez show theme song.

I saw the trailer to this a few months ago, and thought… “unhinged Barney” yes sir! I really like the alternate universe and Mandela effect feel to it. I wouldn’t say this was scary, more so I would say it’s whimsically creepy. It felt a little short, I wish the outside world with Cristin Milioti was fleshed out a little more. Overall this was fresh and creative, great sound and set design, and I’m happy that this movie exists!

God, this movie would literally be perfect if they just went full octane with the central premise of "children's television programming turned rated-R survival horror for the central child cast" but when it feels like it gets studio noted to hell to make sure there's some essence of groundedness in our real world is when it falls flat on its face and all the enjoyment gets sucked out of the screen.
No shade towards Cristin Milioti or Topher Grace as they worked with as much as they had and they are both two really solid performers. But, I couldn't help but think how fantastic this movie could've genuinely been if we didn't get wrapped up in all the unnecessary odds-and-ends of the narrative.
