A little unfocused to me, buy it's mostly fun just to watch James Cagney energeticly babble his way through everything, though Ruth Donnelly as his potential future mother-in-law is just a riot.

I'm really enjoying the Mervyn LeRoy pre-codes currently on the Criterion Channel. I found this film similar to High Pressure but with more focus on the romance. James Cageny is great and funny and the film is fast paced. I loved seeing him and Ruth Donnelly battle it out.
