*"I don't like it."
*- Pauline Hanson
I would tell Hanson not to quit her job for voice acting but I think her involvement in this is enough evidence that she shouldn't be in politics anymore.
Internet died with 7 minutes left and I think that was a sign. Unfortunately my lack of care for that sign was as strong as the lack of self-awareness from the filmmakers and I came back an hour later to finish it. I can imagine the premiere: as a joke is made about bubbles or echo chambers, everyone simultaneously points and laughs, saying "Haha, glad I'm not stuck in an echo chamber or a bubble!" as the politician behind the film counts how many $100 tickets were sold. Ironic as well to pretend to be a victim of people you say are evil for "pretending to be victims". It's kinda impressive how engineered this film is for people to just point and laugh and not think at all considering it's meant to be a political satire. The filmmakers clearly can't decide what any of the characters are actually meant to be or what they represent and so just make up extremely disconnected plot points to tell the same overused jokes without a real progression (hah) of the plot or characters. I feel bad for my dad who agreed to watch this with me. I will watch a sequel if they make one.
