Follows the typical NFB Character Study documentary format. A soft, uplifting look at a unique character living a small, simple life with which he/she finds meaning and community. Very much in the same vein of a Beverly Shaffer documentary. Fernand is a kind person, and a clear community leader, but I am not sure how compelling he is as a character on screen.
That being said, this is an uplifting short doc that will warm a cold winter heart.
