Had a blast watching this with fam I’m half Thai and have barely watched any Thai movies because I’m scared they are gonna suck but this was actually not terrible This was honestly so funny like I was laughing the whole movie Loved the noodle shop guys and the barbers they were my favs The plot twist near the end shocked me tho (they copied the sixth sense ngl) but it was so unexpected Not the best but I had A LOT of fun

Rahtree is a Thai horror comedy that starts out by condensing 20 minutes of serious drama narrative into its first 5 minutes — and then mashes familiar tropes of horror-comedy into its remaining 1 hour runtime. The end shifts gears into a romantic ghost story. A riot all around! Don’t think I’ve ever seen a film warp between genres so effectively.
