Upon rewatch, I’m convinced this movie could’ve been saved by recasting Ranbir and Salman. Cause- screenplay be damned- Sonam Kapoor at her most beautiful running around that big blue set in slomo with Rani Mukherji looking hot in the background and that exquisite soundtrack blasting at full volume is pure cinema bliss. It’s Ratbir (my nemesis) with his dumb little outfits and at times truly unwatchable acting, and Salmanella (my arch nemesis) with his twenty (20!!!) year age gap w Sonam, that are bringing down the vibe.
