This is a messy oddball comedy. He plays a bitter air traffic controller who gains telekinetic powers after a toxic spill, but instead of sharp humor we get sulking and clunky slapstick. The effects are cheap, pacing drags, and it can’t decide if it’s sci-fi spoof or romance. Dabney Coleman is the highlight as a smug writer. It has a few laughs, but mostly feels like an overlong SNL skit. Wasn’t as funny as when I was 10 in the 80s. Chevy Chase was pure nostalgia.
