This is what I wanted from VHS Massacre; it was documentary about the history, legacy, and lasting love of VHS, made up of people who want to do more than show off their collection and lie to me and say VHS is a superior format to everything that came after. I learned real information from knowledgeable people about the beginning, growth, and demise of the format, while also getting stories from collectors. There were places I wish we spent more time and some I really don't think we needed to stop at at all, but it is a fun doc that is clearly made from a place of love, but without getting up its own ass about it.
