The Watergate case was the original game changer of America politics. How has Watergate changed the Presidency? What effect has the scandal had on our political leaders? And has hope and optimism forever been replaced in our national dialogue by doubt and cynicism? In 1973, Watergate's most pivotal year, reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein doggedly investigated the scandal exposing the long, twisted trail of cover-ups and lies.

No Robert they can’t hang out they’re busy changing journalism and the American political landscape forever! Richard Nixon is a weird freak motherfucker. Not the worst president in the whole world but decidedly sub-par. American politics are like a car crash but if the car was carrying a virus that infected the whole world. Ben Bradlee is in this (hooray!) and actual people who were in the Nixon administration so coming from someone who read the book it’s very very strange to see their faces moving. Idk why there’s so many random weirdos in this I only really wanted to hear from the washpost crew and the actors that played them. I cannot believe that Robert Redford was so fucking hyperfixated on Watergate that it possessed him to make this movie so he could act in it and also his focus on the trials got in the way of him creating chemistry with his on-screen gf in Gatsby. Old man woodstein makes me want to kill myself like that’s peepaw and I need Bob woodward to read me bedtime stories. Think of them as one... cool Normal about that. A little concerned that they didn’t mention Pakula or Willis once but whatever ig?? Also I got this on youtube and the video had a weird filter for copyright purposes that looked like there was a light pointed at me so that was a little bit distracting. I feel like a little bit of grain would have been enough
