The new worst movie ever made!
Maybe I’m so bitter and I’d have loved this movie as a kid. But no…this is horrible.
It’s representative of a forgotten form of art. The British Kids Musical Movie by Vertigo Releasing (Nativity and Horrid Henry The Movie fall into this category). Where the kids can rule the world!. But a paper thin, predictable plot, terrible humour and feeling inspiration to the point of cringe. (If you hear opening narration you will understand what I am saying). This movie cannot be saved by a surprisingly decent performance from John Barrowman (I know), despite his lack of screen time, he’s really good in this movie. Did I mention he’s only in one scene…One scene where it’s introduced that he suffers from depression, and then his daughter has a dream sequence about dancing with him and then never appears in the movie again.
May I mention the obsessive slow mo / music playing thing this movie does 5 times
