I think the fact of the matter is Chile is beautiful and therefore it’s a given that cinematography-wise, this film is going to be a beautiful watch. Narrative-wise and allover in terms of filmmaking, this film is horribly droning and boring and really isn’t all that profound with its dubious commentary on class divide and neocolonialism — but again, visually, it’s a delight.
