First time watches in October 24/31

The only thing that saves this one is Peter Cushing as a bitchy priest. I was a little bored unfortunately.

The only thing that saves this one is Peter Cushing as a bitchy priest. I was a little bored unfortunately.

For a movie about coffin stowed booze smuggling, scooby-doo esque fear tactics, and a pirate town avoiding taxes, its a tad drab. I mean, the special effects are highly entertaining, and its quippy, but I think my expectations were too high. Also, while I have mixed feelings about Oliver Reed- he was a shit dude who once puked on Steve McQueen and died arm-wrestling- he is usually fun to watch. This didn’t give him all that much to work with.
