I couldn't watch the whole thing, it's just so arduously paced. There are a lot of curiosities about it obviously as one of the few films to be produced in North Korea. For one, it's really surprising to learn the film was released in the late 70s since it looks and feels like a film from the 40s or 50s. There are brief musical bits about workers and shots of the North Korean landscape. There's an interesting element about a collectivist sports film, a genre that seems to have individualism in its DNA. But it's just so tedious and without motivation. It's not poorly put together or bad, it's just that if this wasn't made by North Korea there would be no incentive to watch it.
