Sarkar (2005) turned out to be an excellent movie. I didn't have high expectations, but it surpassed them. While it clearly pays homage to 'The Godfather' and shares similarities, it also manages to distinguish itself in many ways. The acting was outstanding, with perfect casting all around. I'm excited to watch the sequel now.
