A beautiful film! Great acting performance by James Stewart in this film. So many scenes and aspects that were amazing in this film. The marriage advice scene was so true and was executed flawlessly. The shared moment between the Union and Confederates over a cow. So many other great scenes. But the best by far was when Charlie Anderson gave his speech at his wife grave about how different people view war. This film was truly beautiful and it beauty showed the tremendous and horrifying impact war can have. But it was not perfect movie production execution to earn it a 5. For example from a production standpoint probably better to end the film with Charlie Anderson’s speech. Still wasn’t s better end but just from a production standpoint the grave speech would have been more effective. That just a picky critique, still really enjoyed it and would highly recommend.
