I am spending my last potty mouthed evening with a viewing of Steve Anderson’s F**k, a documentary about the origins of the word Fuck, exploratory it’s many iterations throughout history, society and popular culture.
With some entertaining talking heads including (not so) ‘Silent Bob’ Kevin Smith, Buzz Beer Brewer Drew Carey, X-Files Priest Billy Connolly, cat and dog truther Janeane Garofolo, Ghostbusters Star Ron Jeremy, adult movie star Tera Patrick (I am not familiar with her work) and Fin Tutola himself Ice-T!
This simple fucking concept feels a little fucking thin stretched to feature length, but does a good job covering the first amendment, history of censorship, usage in politics including Dick ‘fucking’ Chaney and the origins of the word itself.
You’ll be well and truly fucked by the end of it.
Also a little behind the scenes tidbit (tidbit NOT tit-bit) when finding visual reference for my TikTok reviews I usually just google the name of the film.
