despite the fact that everyone says the adventures with older indy are better, i was still worried considering how much i enjoyed the episodes with younger indy. i was very happy to find how much i enjoy him, and i think the progression from that younger indy to this teenage one and then to the one we know in the movies is becoming a lot clearer.
the first story with edison and whoever was a bit slow to me, though i enjoyed him and his girlfriend’s banter and it was nice to see him do some normal teenage stuff.
with the second story surrounding the mexican revolution, it was really nice to see indy’s language skills coming in to play. i wasn’t expecting those few scenes entirely in spanish, though i found it to be a pleasant surprise and preferred it to how little non-english languages were used in previous episodes. it was also nice to get almost immediate payoff from indy’s obsession with learning foreign languages in “journey of radiance”.
