Shahid Kapoor is a total slut in this.The most important scene in the movie, which made me raise up my rating, was so short that you blink and you'd mess it, was when Rohan knew about the truth but he called Veera back on the field and Veera did well, receiving a look of begrudging respect from him. That look meant that he saw respected her and saw her as equal in that moment, on top of, of course desiring her, even though she made a fool out of him. The equality a woman seeks in a heterosexual relationship typically lacks this respect, the respect you'd gain by being on equal footing with him, by going through the extremes of pretending to be a man as comedically presented here.
I love how they didn't hold back when they made Veer's whole look! Rani makes for a convincing man and they didn't try to still make her a conventionally attractive woman with sideburns lol. Would've loved to see Shahid Kapoor dressed up as a woman at the ending-song, to you know, balance things out, no weird reason at all.
Corny but still heartfelt film with a sincere message. Ali Ansari is hot as hell.
