This would have been AMAZING with a slightly higher budget and half the runtime (and better actors)

The photo reveal was really genuinely creepy and unexpected, and some of the slower, more atmospheric scenes were genuinely creepy- sometimes they tried to add in jumpscares or speed up a shot and it just... did not work

Basically any scene with the Owl Man was great and any scene with Evie (see: the bizarre 5 minute long scene of her dancing and the weird strip tease as she walked down to the pool) was super awkward. There was literally ZERO chemistry between the two main actors

I wish they had made this more of an exploration of childhood trauma rather than making him fall in love w Evie tbh. And why did she want revenge on James!! He was a child!! It makes no sense!!

There were a few bits and pieces that felt out of place and honestly they almost took me out of the mood. Mostly the scenes with Eve. Actually, I kind of wish they found another actress to play Eve cause that was just ---- no. However, that owl man and all that owl imagery were very effective in the scares department. Those wide eyes..............
