I’m honestly impressed but also curious how they did the beginning boat sequence. Did he really have to knock that guy out in the bar? Also I’ve never seen someone knock someone out like that. Guilt tripping that one guy into going back to sea is crazy. I don’t speak or know German but I’m wondering if the Germans were speaking good German and the same with the other languages. See, now this is a movie that should only be scene in theaters. For instance, the night sequence was even better because it was quite everywhere and really builds tension. Love the lack of music in that scene. Ngl, if Humphrey Bogart told me to enlist in the Navy, I probably would. Surprisingly enjoyable action/war/propaganda movie. (I’m just gonna ignore the propaganda part) funny enough it’s already been basically a year since I saw my first Humphrey Bogart movie lol.
