Damn, Sands brings a whole lot more to this role! Bringing some awesome kills and wicked one liners, every scene with him in this is golden (his nonchalant manner after the elevator scene always makes me laugh)
So why am I not giving this a better or at least equal rating than the first? Well, while the scenes with our antagonist are awesome, the ones with our protagonists… not so much. There are some good character actors in those parts (including a Buck Flower cameo, damn why couldn’t he have been in here more?) but the two leads just kinda underwhelmed me, not quite up to par with Kassandra (with a K) and Redferne. And I feel like we spent more time with them and needed more Warlock.
Such a shame this was Sands’ last time as the Warlock. If only these movies were more popular and we got a franchise, or at least got a legacy sequel with Sands coming back. 😞
And that metal track at the end 🤘 (Also why couldn’t these movies have gotten Doro Pesch’s band Warlock on the soundtrack?)
