I appreciate how unique this film is in concept. It sort of sets itself up to be your typical unsuspecting teen slasher flick without ever actually explicitly being one and the way it uses those conventions e.g. the music and use of shots (sparingly) was very effective.
I also thought the single take style of filming did a great job at transitioning from character to character as we are following them over a passage of time. I can't deny though that at over two hours it was a bit of a challenge dedicating so much attention to characters we barely even got introduced to talking at each other even if it does play up to the genre conventions because I never found anything they were saying quite as interesting as the strange mystery plot that was set up which ultimately ends up becoming abandoned as a sub plot lost in the rubble at times and whether intentional or not felt a little bit messy.

pushes the bounds of a single take film, looping and intersecting, in favor of a linear timeline. establishing the perspective of its characters and blending various genres (e.g. supernatural, romance, etc.) thru this. i just wish alot of the plot had conclusive ends.
