This film wants to be the HK version of Micheal Mann's Heat. It wants to be, but it isn't.
It started fairly well but descended into the realms of poor CGI, over extended gun battles, over-acting and poorly constructed sequences
There are a couple of clever scenes but these don't make up for it in any way.
I'm not huge on action films but I love HK, Korean and Japanese cinema and loved Infernal Affairs (which also starred Andy Lau). I would not recommend this to anyone other than über fans of the action genre.
