Cat and mouse thriller? Buddy-cop? Action comedy? I'm not entirely sure, neither is the movie. It's a but of everything, but what is important is that the movie works as all of them.
The comedy was surprising, but it actually worked most of the time. But what really carries this movie is the performances from the two leads. Both are so great in their roles.i also wanna applaud the writer, as these characters are not just movie roles, they are actual humans and they talk like humans.i really liked that
This is my second Johnnie To movie and as much as I enjoyed it, the first I watched was better. He really shows what he can do as a director, which doesn't really shine through in this. Non the less still a very entertaining watch
