When I was a kid, I thought I was so cool for owning a film that was this edgy. But at the same time, the only parts of the film I actually watched were the parts where Benji was on screen. I have no idea why the dvd marketed this as a kids film that included trailers for other kids films.
I don’t know why Chevy Chase claims this to be his worst film, when he’s been in far worse films. I know this film is highly disliked, but I honestly think it could be way worse. Benji’s acting is pretty good, Jane Seymour was a welcomed presence, and the soundtrack (while really repetitive) was great.
On an ending note, was it really necessary that Benji’s name in the film was BJ? I don’t even want to imagine a dog giving a bj. Sorry for the visual!
