Prune faced Charles bronson shoots first and asks questions later and the new york city is sick of it, so he goes to LA where things are looser, and then when he bungles that up he goes back to NY.
The dialogue seems straight from the john gardner novel and it doesnt exactly fit at times cuz youve got stiff polyester suits and mustaches speaking wistfully of summers long gone in the patois of a beat cop.
There’s some confusing mafia conspiracy and a very blonde jazz appreciating weirdo Paul Koslo... (which if this had been made later I feel would be played by Val Kilmer).
Seemed a little about PTSD and how society is creating it’s criminals as well, but its kinda slow and I lost interest. Except for Koslo’s scenes because he is magical.
