…what the hell did I just watch?
Interesting premise, questionable execution. Tried to do too many things (horror movie, surrealist drama, historical movie, really bad comedy), didn’t fully accomplish any of them. There was not even one funny joke, and there was zero chemistry between the bride and the groom.
Would have liked the ghost story part to be more developed (Smaranda my beloved) as that had the most potential in my opinion, but it was abandoned in favour of the titular wedding. The one thing I really liked was the shot at the end with Smaranda and the abandoned factory.
Maybe this will appeal more to people who like weird movies, the absurdist vibe is not really my style.
