Horrifying to think that someone could imagine this. Deeply horrifying. I’ll go eat pop tarts in the shower while listening to nirvana now.

Bit wackier in tone, the puppets themselves are made out as being good guys too despite all their prior killing (and nazi attire..)

This definitely isn't the best puppet master film.... but so far I had the most fun watching this one. I love the trope in movies especially horror where the cute sweet (child murdering out of spite) monsters become the good guys. It's the main reason why I love most of the showa era Godzilla films. They are fun !!!! You could say they were good in 3 as well but I see that as just them defending their owner. In this one they literally protect this stranger they never met before. The human characters were okay. Won't spoil anything but never cheered more for a characters death. And then you have the one girl who's screaming 97% of the movie. But the two leads were good. Would love to see more of them. I think my only negatives are that 1. No leech woman. With Toulon coming back she should've shown up as well. 2. The runtime definitely needed to be longer. It could've just been the puppets having fun and I wouldn't mind that. I loved the concept of the puppets Frankenstein-ing another puppet to life. Such a fun scene. Just felt so short with a runtime of 1 hour and 18 minutes. So much more could've been fleshed out. The villains too. Like they were really cool but they were kinda just there to get defeated by the puppets. Literal punching bags. But yeah. Like my other reviews. The puppets are just so gosh darn cute in this film. I wanna be their friend so bad. So far I've given the first 4 films the same rating because they all kinda just keep up that great and fun but could be a bit better energy. But like I said this one was pretty fun. I can see myself rewatching this one sometime soon.
