reminds me a lot of the welsh folk tale of rhys and meinir where the bride, meinir, hides inside a tree trunk and is not found until struck by lighting many years later now i dont know whether this is inspired by that or if it's just a coincidence and it was common for brides to go hide and not be found for decades. anyway i liked this

This is a ghost story with no tension, no pacing, and no payoff. A bride hides in a chest during a game of hide-and-seek, gets trapped, dies, and decades later someone opens it and finds her ghost. That’s the whole thing. The premise is decent, but the execution is lifeless.

There’s no editing rhythm, no visual emphasis, no cinematic technique beyond “point camera at actors and let them shuffle around.”

And when we get to the big “reveal” the discovery of the body, the film just ends. No impact.
