1234567, release the one ignored by heaven. the concept of this movie is pretty cool, and it was interesting to watch its incorporation into the storyline + how it changed the storyline throughout. when the movie began, i was pretty overwhelmed seeing so many different people who looked almost identical at first, so it took me a good bit to even learn their names. the introductions for all of the characters were pretty nice, and some of these people had very ‘siblings or dating’ energy at first.. LIKE when i saw eli and sandy for the first time i was like what? i thank the graveyard game scene so much for allowing me to figure out their names without going the whole movie wondering who the hell was who, even if i didn’t know tj’s name until after he died. the first few deaths in this movie were pretty great scenes, but the characters were rather forgettable, which i mean is a given since they died so early. i felt the worst for tj out of those first few deaths because he had just gotten the ring and everything, only to be forgotten moments later by his girlfriend + that gas station scene STUNG a bit bc she genuinely didn’t remember him. WHO THE HELL IS TJ? one of my favorite elements of the movie was the gradual increase of the zombie-like killers terrorizing the friends one by one. i thought it was really cool to see all of the dead people as they became zombies post death— their weird movements, scurrying, and FAST ASS hands made for some funny moments along with some moments that had me a bit scared. my personal favorites from the group were hannah, lex, eli, and jake.. nothing for sandy because she was rather boring even if she was literally going mental. hannah and lex were just funny bomb bitches who got their chase scene in before they got some of the coolest deaths in the movie. lex’s chase was cool because i liked how it cut from her being chased by the monsters to all of her alive friends chasing after her. IT SUCKS because she was so close to being found and saved by the group, but everyone was too late. at least she got one of the coolest deaths. hannah, i love you so much. you were so funny and real. you’re a bitch lex and fucking mean. eli was so cute and innocent compared to everyone else. i liked him a lot. when he lost his virginity to hannah only to lose the memory of her entire existence moments later; therefore, he got a good few minutes of happiness before it all went down the drain. if he had JUST OPENED THE DAMN DOOR. well, a gentleman never tells. i felt really bad for what the group of friends did to angela— they kinda deserve what they got since they put her into a coma after their sick prank. it’s hard because i like some of them, but i also feel like they deserved this entirely. some other things i enjoyed about this movie, but will spare the details on: jake’s hot scene in the convent where he does the heart cross (drools), the campiness of the movie, angela being played by young bella thorne, the incorporation of the flowers into the movie, THE ENDING gaggery, and the scene of the party/pool being erased from existence basically. all in all this movie was really good, and i enjoyed a few of the characters.. the ones who made it far at least. i’m sad this movie didn’t get the recognition it deserved because it had a rather cool concept and nice execution for its time. midnight comes, it’s not too late, so kill the ghost or seal your fate!
