Big runtime, big sets, big shots. This movie is big, some might even call it epic. And boy do i like epic movies. The 60s were full of these grand movies often telling a story loosely based on historical events.
This movie is set during the boxer rebellion, which i pretty much nothing about before watching. Now this is far from a documentary so i wouldn't say I'm anywhere close to educated on this event, but the movie did it's best to put the unknowing audience into the situation. But again, this movie is far from a documentary. It's very entertaining and has some great action sequences. The story and drama within were actually also pretty good. Now this is far from perfect and there are many way way better 60s epic out there, but i enjoyed this quite alot non the less
