By all metrics, this is essentially a Disney Channel-style sports movie from Brunei. While it feels somewhat unfocused and trope-heavy—especially since Yasmine, despite her training, manages to defeat far more experienced fighters—it still follows the classic beats of a sports film efficiently. Its weakest aspect is characterization, as the characters' motivations often feel unclear, making their progress by the end unconvincing. Lastly, I found it quite amusing that the actor playing Yasmine’s father was only six years older than her—and he didn’t look much older, either.
